Spring Beginnings
Even for the hardiest of Mainers, the few inches of snow we got on April 26th felt like an April Fool’s joke!
The good news — May is here and weather records do not predict any more snowfall. The tulips that were peeking through that snow on April 26th have survived, and the grass is bright green. As my yoga teacher says, “We begin again.” Everything feels new – we clean the house and gardens, spend more time outside, and try new things.
How do you begin again each Spring? Plant a garden, walk or bike a new path, invite a friend to sit on the porch, go on a picnic, visit a beach, take a hike, open the windows, open the pool, mow the lawn, put up the screens, wash the windows, go kayaking, read a book outside, or sit in the sun?
Reward yourself at the end of the day with a Neck or Back Warmer to relax tired muscles. The soothing heat isn’t just for winter. It simply feels wonderful after an active day, regardless of the season or weather.
